I did not want to write this blog to convince you to take the photos or convince you to be in them at all. But just to think about; These moments are fleeting, and we are changing constantly, and going through an amazing time in our lives and have no idea what the future is going to be, we are on a journey and this part of that journey is pretty dang amazing with so many ups and downs, and crazy in between’s. It just flies by us so quick. Just get in the dang photo. Document it, be in the photo and hold that precious babe tight in your arms while you can. Cradle them before they get too big to carry. Hold their little hands and kiss those little toes, feel their fingers wrapped tightly on your finger. You will

Well now that, that is straight. This is my new jam. This is what I envision for your family photos in the studio. It can be simply styled like jeans and a t shirt or dressed up in a dress or a gown. Its organic, it feels real, you don’t have to be hard posed smiling awkwardly at the camera and wondering if you have lipstick on your teeth or wondering if you are smiling enough or too little, yuck ugh. I feel like this is more comfortable. It feels a little more raw and organic or natural. Simple colors and fun textures and some plants and pillows and blankets and a bed are all included in these warm and more emotive lifestyle family sessions. Even a jeans and t shirt look is great in this style. It’s fun and easy and simple and classy. Earthy colors and neutrals and fun textures and some sweet simple snuggly posed images just get me and are my favorite, they give me the feels. They feel more real and unique. I want to offer these types of images even with all milestone sessions, and portrait sessions, as babe gets bigger and bigger. I love documenting you and yours and the love and a part of your journey. I get bored of the studio posing with family images on just a plain white wall or back drop so I am switching it up and am so excited to be adding this type of feel. This allows you to take off your shoes and get a little more comfy. I will still offer some traditional studio posed family shots with babies and siblings, this is just a little add in or you can do a whole package with a couple prop set ups. I feel like this style is something we all love but not everyone is prepared to have people in their home right after they have a baby or have their home ready to be captured on camera. I love doing in home photography and lifestyle newborns. Lifestyle photography has always been my passion, when I first started working with newborns, it was always about posing perfectly and having everything its right place and now a lot more relaxed and natural. I have leaned into some of that posey posed and added more relaxed natural organic posing and this is just my style and my way. I wanted to add what gives me the feels in the studio, so now you get a little of both. I love creating the set ups and posing and wrapping sleepy little babies and love the more natural and organic feel to barely and loosely wrapped babies awake or asleep and it blends nicely. I will also be offering this style with all milestone photography as well. To me its more cuddling up with your loves and embracing each other and the moment that gets me and I want to you to feel that way every time you see your images.

All you need to do is bring you to the studio with your family and be ready to either use one of my dresses or gowns offered in my client closet or grab something you have or go shopping and just be ready to cuddle up a little in front of the camera . I am always always here to help with styling. There are so many local stores to find simple stuff to wear. Amazon is huge, even target and places like Cotton on Kids and H&M are all great. One of my favs for dresses is Baltic born, tons of great options that are comfy and options for all styles and Joyfolie is another favorite and another one I love more on pricey side is Jen’s Pirate Booty and Free People. This styling stuff is simple and somewhat easy with my help we can be casual and comfy, or dressey and all of it snuggling your favorite loves. I even have stuff in the client kiddo closet.
